The North Terrace is a medium sized, traditional-style pub. There is nothing particularly remarkable about The North Terrace but the staff are friendly and it is a nice place to go for a few quiet drinks. It is also a good location to watch live sport, which is shown on a big screen. As it is located close to Newcastle University flats, its regulars include students. However, it appears more popular with an older generation of locals and business people. It gets busy on match days as it attracts match goers on their way to St James Park.

The North Terrace is a fairly traditional pub situated on Claremont road, close to the university medical school. Very friendly and helpful staff and great drinks offers, especially on events nights. They also have a food menu, which does pub classics as well as more student-aimed fare such as pizzas and pasta. When it is quiet, nice for a few drinks and they have a good range of ales from the Wylam Brewery there currently.

As long as you get there fairly near 12 noon, there is a great selection of fresh sandwich fillings, including the excellent roast chicken. They also do a number of very good value meal-deals with crisps, cakes and drinks.
