Office

Office is a popular shoe store in London. It sells an affordable range of casual and dressy shoes.

I usually quite like the collection of shoes sold here, although I get very frustrated since none of their shoes ever last. They evidently believe that since they have low prices, their quality can be a bit low as well. The heels of the shoes always get worn out very quickly and after one night out in a club, you will soon notice that your shoes will be as good as ruined. Due to its popularity you will also quickly notice that half of London will be wearing the same shoes as you.

I guess a pair of shoes from here, can be a quick sort out for some party shoes, but don't expect them to last.

I decided that my de-heeled out of date black knee highs needed to go in the bin and be replaced by some on trend hot new boots so after checking out a few shops (Next/Zara?River Island) and not feeling anything i walked into office on Oxford street on my lunch this week.


There i saw the boots i liked and the sales assistant was straight in there helping me and getting my size for me...


Now these boots are £150 grey suede thigh high beauties so i needed an opinion (not just a sale) and the lovely sales girl (pretty with glasses) was brilliant - she actually helped and was honest - yes they looked hot + yes they'd prob go better with jeans than my denim mini but it still looked good, so i was sold - she let me wear them out of the shop (and gave me a bag to hide my sorry old black shameful boots in)


The next morning on my way to work.. shock horror one of the zips had decided to peel open - so poor Mel had to do her commute in half a gaping open boot!!! not happy...


Anyway at lunch i took a rather embarrassing walk back to the shop, the same lovely sales girl recognised me and came right up to me - to which i showed her the gaping zip...


She was amazing... gushing about how that never happens and that they'd replace straight away - with the manager (i assumed) even helping me out of the broken boot!


Within minutes they were zipping me up in a brand new pair, re-apologising and this happy bunny walked away feeling that yes customer service is still key and alive and that i just HAD to write a rave review - mainly to praise the shop staff!


If u want a shoe store that look after you.. then this is it, yes its all about the staff.

Cute shoes, cute shoes and more cute shoes--that is what you'll find here. Office is kinda like a UK version of Steve Madden. I went into several Office stores when I was in London and all of them were very crowded but the workers still managed to help my friends and I find our sizes without making us wait too long. They have an abundance of flats, boots, and heels that would make any woman drool--I know I did! I can't imagine anyone walking out of here empty handed. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I hope one day they will bring office here to the US. For now I just look at their online sight and drool, since I refuse to pay for shipping from the UK.

Office is a mainstay of the British High street, a mid-priced footwear chain excelling in making quirky but thoroughly wearable shoes at reasonable prices. On many an occasion I've been tempted by Office's more classic designs but have never bought a sausage - or a shoe - from this shop. The reason? The sizes are bizarre.

Now I know half sizes are usually the preserve of pricier shops but I would expect such a thing from a company specialising in footwear. Not so. I have never once managed to find a pair of Office shoes that fit which is a shame because if they started doing half sizes I would snap up a pair of their ponyskin leopard print ballet pumps faster than you can say 'Audrey Hepburn'.

I don't normally shop in Office but decided to browse today. My eye was instantly caught by a beautiful pair of UGG boots-as I'm visiting Austria in December I thought they would be ideal so why not? Purchase made :) I will be back as the staff are lovely and I've seen another pair of boots I want!!

For me Office means High Street in the true meaning of the word. Ranges change often, vary with quality and with designs that vaguely remind of something you have seen on the catwalks. This is the promised land of UGG boots and killer high heels.

Occasionally I have seen something classical and more basic as the color black seems to be well used in the selections, but never actually bought anything. The quality isn't often quite what I am looking for and even though the shoes are affordable, I would not call them cheap as I am a strong believer of quality over quantity. Leather over plastic and so on, but as said, sometimes the brand manages to get it right. Just need to look for it!

This shop is fantasic with a wide selection of shoes and trainers for all types of styles evening wear day time wear the Staff are very helpful and polite and talkative very relaxed and they dont pressure you to buy anything there is never a massive que at the till.
