I always wanted to try the place when I was leaving in Paris and we finally got to try it during our last trip.
We went for lunch and it was empty so really quiet. Food was ok but didn't blow my mind.
I had a salad and my husband the steak tartare (quality meat, ok fries)
It's a good spot for lunch if you work in the area with a very simple brasserie menu.
You come here mainly for the location. In the summer they have outside dining overlooking on the canal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Grace K.Zúrich, Suiza98177147910 de may de 2014
Great place for a group to meet for lunch/brunch. Good menu and everything tasted great.
Ordered the salmon benedict (€15). Excellent portion of salmon and eggs. It was delic. Friend ordered the salad and it was big in portion, only thing is is that it was ice burg lettuce and not the other good leafy greens (€15).
Coffee brew was good.
In Paris, I noticed that in general at restaurants if you order the complete Brunch, it's around the €25 price range. All in all, i felt everything on the menu was pricey, but at least it was good and portions were good. The interior and outside seating is great. Perfect for a group.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Karina K.París, Francia10811014210 de abr de 2012
This is for the Bar du Coin only. The main room/restaurant is quite beautiful with its skylight dome, but this is a full-on restaurant from what I could see. They also have club nights on weekends, but this will be for a later review.
So the Bar du Coin is the corner bistro, on the side of the building. I was surprised to find a relaxed and pretty cosy atmosphere on a Friday night, past happy hour, not too crowded nor loud, perfect for a glass of wine. Food options are scarce, the typical Assiettes, charcuterie and fromage, not a lot of choice for vegetarians or non-pork eating folks...
On the upside, a bottle of white wine served with its ice bucket was only 17 euros, regular price. Another good spot pre/post movie at the nearby MK2, or close to the Canal St Martin.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca D.San Luis, Estados Unidos201183 de oct de 2014
This restaurant is in a great location but that's about all they have going for them. The service is awful: we asked for olive oil 4 times because the salad was undressed and never got it and we asked for ketchup and the server told us they didn't have any... What!?... And then proceeded to bring us a small cup of ketchup for the four people with fries to share. The food wasn't anything special as well. They ended up offering us free coffee at the end because of how bad the service was but that didn't really make up for it in our eyes. Really a shame because the location is amazing.

This place is probably really nice when the weather is good but on a cold night in November you don't get to enjoy the scenery of La Villette. Food is basic. Mostly pizza and lasagna. Interesting building though. Certainly not what one would expect for an Italian restaurant.

Nice building with a badly conceived Gilles Choukroun remote controlled menu, uncomfortable furniture , sloppy service and no security ( local vagrants access the bar and dining room with a fair regularity). A shame, because I was really rooting for this place.
